A Gospel Spectacular A one-of-a-kind evening blending powerhouse vocals, theatrical narration, and praise dance telling the story of Jesus, inspired by the American Black Church as a nod to the centennial 100th year anniversary of Black history month! This joyous night featured your holiday and gospel favorites such as “Joy to the World,” as well as Kirk Franklin’s hits “Now Behold the Lamb” and “Hosanna” alongside reimagined contemporary hits from artists such as Leon Bridges. Produced by Anyae Anasia (Five: The Parody Musical off-Broadway) and Alana Janai and featuring a talented and Broadway bound roster of artists and some surprises along the way! With dazzling music & heartfelt storytelling experience! Aa Gospel Spectacular was presented in front of a nearly sold out audience at the Tony award winning venue 54 below. Anyae was the executive producer , director and i performed int he show.

My senior year at Texas State University I produced and directed Texas States First Annual Young Gifted and black Black History month Celebration which featured large and small group musical numbers, dance numbers , acting pieces and a scholarship was presented in honor of the first black student to graduate from my school. Kaitlin Hopkins the head of the musical theatre department was my faculty advisor. And in anticipation for the celebration it garnered attention from the two main news outlets of Texas State as well as an excerpt from the show being invited to perform at Tedx. In the end the celebration was performed in front of a sold out packed theatre! Below you’ll find an article about the show and a playlist of some of the pieces from it! Here’s a play I directed May of 2023 for my directing 1 class , it’s originally a 50 page one act play but I cut it down to be a 10 minute or so play :)
At the start of Covids Quarantine, I decided to create a cabaret for the community to enjoy, with a live audience and production team and live performances! it was the first of its kind!
