ANYAE ANASIA

Anyae Anasia graduated from TXST University Studying Musical theatre under the direction of Kaitlin Hopkins. She's p interned with Broadway dreams & has had master classes with Andy Blankenbuehler , Betsy Wolfe, Gavin Creel & Alex Newell. Her senior year at Texas State University she produced and directed Texas States First Annual Young Gifted and black , Black History month Celebration which featured large and small group musical numbers, dance numbers , acting pieces and a scholarship was presented in honor of the first black student to graduate from my school. Kaitlin Hopkins the head of the musical theatre department was her faculty advisor. And in anticipation for the celebration it garnered attention from the two main news outlets of Texas State as well as an excerpt from the show being invited to perform at Tedx. In the end the celebration was performed in front of a sold out 300+ seated theatre! Freshman year at TXST Anyae created a virtual quarantine cabaret for cabaret , she collected a group of artists from all over the U.S to perform songs live on zoom for a live zoom audience. Anyae's sophmore year she wrote music and poetry for a musical conceptual filmed project collaborating with the students in her graduating class. Junior year in her directing three class she wrote and directed an original site specific play consisting of five actors who performed all throughout and around the theater building in fifteen minutes. Senior year for Anyae's directing class she took a 50 page one act play and cut it down to be a 10 minute or so play and played with live fast forwarding and nods to the twilight zone.
